(Sharing Our Church Home: UUCY is proud to announce that we will again be the venue for some fabulous live local theatre, presented by Stage Artists of Yakima. Admission is free of charge, please see below for more information, thank you!)
Dig out your bell-bottoms and love beads. Stage Artists of Yakima will present the legendary love-rock musical “Hair” on Saturday, October 15 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Yakima (225 North 2nd Street, Yakima, Washington).
It’s 1968, dearies, and America is in a state of uproar as the hippie youth culture spreads the groovy revolution (much to the chagrin of their parents). Free love, unwashed feet, and a certain leafy vegetable of scandalous reputation are everywhere, and there’s nothing to stop these kids from changing the world … until the boys’ draft notices start arriving. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see one of the most notorious pieces of contraband Americana produced right here in our own Yakima Valley.
Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. with doors open to the public thirty minutes prior; admission is free of charge. Stage Artists of Yakima: Harvesting Community Theatre.
